In the middle of their fractured, war-torn country, the Refugee All Stars found each other and began playing music together. They played to bring hope to themselves and to others amidst the chaos. When filmmakers Banker White and Zach Niles and Canadian musician Chris Velan found the group, they knew they had stumbled upon a story worth telling.

A few years later when the documentary “Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars” came out, the world was introduced to the band, and quickly received popular acclaim. With three studio albums released, the All Stars continue to record and tour all over the world, raising awareness for humanitarian causes.

The All Stars are currently touring with their newest album Radio Salone, an optimistic and beautiful record. You can hear their set in Studio 1a from 6/15 RIGHT HERE!
