Night Waves Summer Monthly Music Series Starts Thursday at Laced With Romance

True, we do have some hot temperatures to endure, but the night always brings some kind of relief – especially the kind that offers music beneath the stars.
The Reverberation Appreciation Society, known for presenting the annual Austin Psych Fest, is inviting psych fans out around dusk time to enjoy Night Waves, a summer music series with live music and DJ sets, curated in collaboration with local vintage clothing boutique Laced With Romance.
This three-part series, held on the last Thursday of each month, has a vibe similar to the Fest – showcasing psychedelic rock through music and visual art – but on a smaller and more intimate scale. This week’s event will feature sets by local psych quintet Holy Wave and psych rock trio Kay Leotard, and spins in between by Reverberation DJs. Next month’s event on July 26th, hosted by Rubberneck Magazine, has Pharaohs and The Zoltars on the bill. The last installment, scheduled for August 30th, will be hosted by vintage electronic music shop Switched On!.
Night Waves begins at 7 p.m. Thursday at Laced With Romance, located at 1601 S. 1st St. Recommended.
