Governor’s Mansion Refurnished After Restoration

June 20, 2012 4:51 pm by: Andrew Uhler

Furnishings from the Texas Governor’s Mansion are being moved back into the home today. The collection was removed in 2007, when a $10 million restoration of the mansion began.

Pieces were in storage when the mansion was set on fire four years ago by an arsonist, who has not been caught.

Governor Rick Perry and his family are expected to move back in when the project is completed late next month.
