Growing up together in Ramsey, New Jersey, friends Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites began playing music together as teenagers. They moved to Denver, Colorado with a trailer full of instruments and sought out another band member to complete their sound. They found cellist Neyla Pekarek, and quickly established a following in the city as The Lumineers.

In 2011 they released their first EP, and fans have been anxious to hear more from the young band. The Lumineers do not disappoint with their fresh self-titled album. Full of nostalgia and heartache but tinged with optimism, the songs on The Lumineers showcase the originality and talent of a band that is quickly gaining momentum.

Listen to The Lumineers play in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE! They will also perform this Thursday  at 2pm, at Waterloo Records at 5pm, and at Antone’s at 9pm.
