THE GOOD MUSIC CLUB: The Sour Notes

We are on a roll, people! We proudly present the latest edition of The Good Music Club! The GMC is a live music event and an online video series featuring the finest Austin-based musical artists making their mark on the local scene. Ultimately, the goal of The GMC is to share all the great music coming out of Austin with new fans and resources outside of the Live Music Capital, including cities throughout the country and worldwide.

This week, we feature The Sour Notes, one of Austin’s busiest indie-pop quartets, to say the least. Amongst their numerous gigs, they’ve performed twice at the CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival in New York City and several times over the past few years during SXSW. Last year, the band formed a DIY collective with fellow Austin band Marmalakes, called No Play Music, through which they collaborated on a a split 7-inch vinyl, Wait//White – White\\Wait.

The Good Music Club is happy to report that Texas Music Matters is doing an hour-long feature on The Good Music Club this Friday at noon, and again at 11 p.m. on KUT. And our next taping date has been confirmed: Friday, June 29th at The ND (501 N. IH-35), located at E. 5th and Brushy St., not too far from Progress Coffee. The line-up and show details will be announced very soon. Mark your calendars and get ready!
