THE GOOD MUSIC CLUB: Bobby Jealousy

Hold on to your boots, rockers. You won’t know what the heck hit you after the latest edition of The Good Music Club! For those of you not in the know (and you should be!), The GMC is both a live music event and an online video series featuring the best of the best Austin-based music artists making an impact on the local scene. Ultimately, our goal is to share all the great music coming out of Austin with resources and new fans outside of the Live Music Capital – and that includes different cities throughout the country, and throughout the world.
Our featured band this week will blow you away, and if you weren’t there to catch this one live…well…we actually feel kind of bad for you, because you missed out on something incredibly moving, electrifying, and out of this world. Bobby Jealousy tangles an audacious, edgy blend of lots of goodies: Rock, pop, equal parts indie and punk, and these ridiculously sweet vocals by fiery rockstar crooner Sabrina Ellis that add the perfect touch of drama. Not sweet as in sappy, but sweet as in mind-blowingly awesome, as in “this is so cool, I can barely stand it!” Seriously. You’ll thank us later.
All right, people. If you haven’t been to a taping of The Good Music Club yet, you’re MISSING OUT. Make plans to attend the next one during Memorial Day weekend: Saturday May 26th. The performances are taped at The ND, located at E. 5th and Brushy, nearby Progress Coffee. Admission is FREE. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the taping starts at 8 p.m. Bands will be announced very soon. Spend part of your fabulous long weekend with us!
