Shawn Colvin is now a staple in the singer/songwriter circle, with an impressive repertoire of original folk music since 1989. With a new album, All Fall Down, coming June 5th, Colvin is returning to the tour circuit. On the same day, she will be releasing her memoir, Diamond in the Rough, which details her life and rise to a career as an accomplished songwriter.
Known for her emotionally stirring lyricism, Colvin has built quite a fan base for herself over the years. This album promises a more mature, retrospective feeling — it is, as she says, “about loss but also about redemption and resolution.”
An impressive host of guests perform on the new album, including Allison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Jakob Dylan, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
