Plans to improve traffic flow and safety on Loop 360 were scuttled last week. KUT’s Emily Donahue talks with the Austin American-Statesman’s Ben Wear about why the state’s plan to eliminate left turns hit a detour, and what might be coming farther down the road.
There was instant neighborhood opposition from people who thought they would have a much harder time getting in and out of their neighborhoods, or their workplaces in certain cases. They had a series of public meetings, and TxDOT folded their tent.
