First Election Day Results for Austin City Council

UPDATE 9:18PM:

With 98 of 237 precincts reporting, all four Austin City Council incumbents are still leading, although whether incumbent Mayor Lee Leffingwell can win without a runoff remains to be seen. He currently has 52.71 percent to Brigid Shea’s 36.29 percent, a drop from early voting numbers. Notably, Bill Spelman’s lead continues to grow in Place 5.

Clay Dafoe: 3,865 11.01%

Lee Leffingwell (incumbent): 18,510 52.71%

Brigid Shea: 12,743 36.29%

 

Place 2

Laura Pressley: 15,420 45.01%

Mike Martinez (incumbent):18,839 54.99%

Place 5

Tina Cannon: 3,350 10.29%

Dominic “Dom” Chavez: 6,208 19.07%

David Conley: 1,154 3.55%

John Duffy: 1,986 6.10%

R.A. “Bo” Prudente: 456 1.40%

John Rubine: 733 2.25%

Bill Spelman (incumbent): 18,665 57.34%

Place 6

Sheryl Cole (incumbent): 23,153 70.41%

Shawn Ireland: 9,729 29.59%
