Big 12 Names New Commissioner

Bob Bowlsby, who spent the last six years as Stanford’s Athletic Director, was named to the post.
Bowlsby – taking over for Dan Beebe, who resigned last year – comes to the conference during a time of change. Missouri and Texas A&M are leaving to join the Southeastern Conference at the end of June. Those schools will be replaced by TCU and West Virginia. Bowlsby starts in mid-June.
