So I was just thinking how crazy it is that Tax Day was always April 15 my entire life and now suddenly it’s April 17 (which gives us all two extra days to file our extensions!) when I realized that it’s only April 17 this year because April 15 was a Sunday and it’s not really a big change or anything. And then I felt stupid and wrote about it on the internet where anybody can see it. Don’t know why I’d do that.
Anyway, we’ve got a podcast for you! Today’s ‘cast features works from a couple of O’Dark stalwarts, Jake Warga and Julie Sabatier. Jake brings us Home From Africa, which follows Peace Corps volunteer Jenafir as she makes the difficult transition back to her old life after her time spent in Africa. Fascinating stuff.
Then it’s the latest installment of Destination: DIY, from producer Julie Sabatier. This episode, “Gender Expression,” asks the question “Can gender expression be a do-it-yourself project?” Good stuff as always from the DIY folks.
