Yes, your Austin Music Minute maven Laurie Gallardo, has gone on another one of those tangents. But it’s fun to run with it. It’s three times the local goodness, and a great way to find out about bands you might not have heard yet.

This time, I’m recommending a show happening tonight at Frank, at 4th and Colorado, for a rather impressive all-local line-up:

-Visual artist and video director Mike Aho’s psych/folk/rock lo-fi musical project ((sounder)), which also features members Tom Hoff, Travis Cooper and Lee Gillespie (American Analog Set).

-A long overdue performance by Monahans, a band that’s spent the last year working on a new (and much-anticipated) double-album, to be released next year.

-Monahans’ band member Roberto Sanchez will also be playing in a new local band starting out the evening, A.D. Blood, also featuring Don Cento, Chad Shaw, and former Pleasant Grove vocalist Marcus Striplin.

Very good music all around. Should be a stellar night! Doors open at 9:30 p.m.
