Slaid Cleaves like to keep things simple. His website bio says “Slaid Cleaves. Grew up in Maine. Lives in Texas. Writes songs. Makes Records. Travels around. Tries to be good.” That brief description is a perfect example of Slaid Cleaves songwriting. Brilliant, concise, evocative stories tied together with a lyrical quality calling to mind the traveling bards of Medieval Europe. Slaid is gearing up for a busy summer with shows around Texas and a stop by Studio 1a with host Jay Trachtenberg that you can hear RIGHT HERE!
