When listening to pianist and composer Peggy Stern, sometimes it gets difficult to pinpoint the exact influence of any of her particular works. And that’s not because she lacks influences, it’s the exact opposite: the amount of genres and types of music that she counts among those that inspire her is nearly endless. She deftly moves between genres, and has even displayed a recent interest in jazz choruses. Over the past 20 years, Stern has taught at universities across the  nation and led workshops across the globe. Peggy Stern will play a show on the 15th in Austin at Casa Karen. She stopped by to play in Studio 1a. Listen HERE!
