Beware, our friends, because it’s Friday the 13th, and I’m assuming it’s gonna get full-on scary out there today. So what horrors do we have in store for you on the big podcast on what promises to be the spookiest day of April? How about some spooky, scary gorillas? And some creepy, eerie French pop music? How about the accidental death of a rock star? Actually, that one is kind of scary.
We’ll lead off with the latest installment of How Sound, the show that takes you behind the scenes of the sexiest, most fascinating profession on earth, radio production. Host Rob Rosenthal will be talking with Robert Krulwich of RadioLab, breaking down a RadioLab story about zoo gorilla cages.
Then it’s a delightful half-hour with the extremely pleasant Charles Spira, who will be bringing you some of his favorite French popular music on this new edition of Bonjour Chanson.
Then we’ll wrap things up with a not-at-all timely installment of Who Died Today?, the show that tells you which famous person died on today’s date. Today, April 13, we’ll bring you the December 28 show for no apparent reason, and tell you about the unfortunate demise of Beach Boy Dennis Wilson.
