Austin City Limits has just won the Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting–coinciding with the 50th anniversary of its home station, KLRU. This week, longtime producer Terry Lickona offers a rare peek behind the scenes at Studio 6A, birthplace of ACL, with stories and music from the longest running music show in American television. We’re going ‘Into the Vaults’ at Austin City Limits on the next edition of Texas Music Matters. Join us Friday at noon and again Friday night at 11, on KUT 90.5.
