Margaet Edson’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Wit is currently running at City Theatre. It’s the story of poetry professor Vivan Bearing and her battle with cancer, a disease that’s touched the lives of many of the cast and crew. Judith Laird, who, like the character she plays, is a professor of English, heads a cast that also includes Clay Avery as the dispassionate Dr. Posner, and Vanessa Marie, Kristen Bennet, Craig Kanne, Mario Silva, Barbara Weems, and Paul Mahaffey.
