Indie pop/folk duo The Mastersons are husband and wife, but their relationship doesn’t color their music in the way that might make you hesitant to listen to a husband and wife duo. Their music is a separate entity from themselves, with contrastingly bright melodies and dark lyrics, and deep harmonies to round it all out. Before joining forces (in marriage and as a band), each of them honed their talents with other groups, making them an incredibly talented pair. The Mastersons caught the attention of Steve Earle, who asked them to tour with him throughout last year.
