Since their inception in 1996, Solas has frequently been called the best Celtic band to come out of the US. The band has pushed the boundaries of the genre, and expanded its audience significantly through appearances at not only Celtic festivals, but nationally recognized folk festivals as well. As a band, Solas is far from afraid to venture beyond genre lines, frequently experimenting and resulting in new and unique sounds specific to the group. Solas has a show Friday night at Bass Concert Hall, and you can hear them live in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!
