KUT at the Four Seasons: Nada Surf

This year, indie and alt rock band Nada Surf will enter their third decade together as a band, something that not many of their contemporaries can claim. Throughout those years they’ve swapped out early 90′s angst for a more deliberate and melodic playing style, but at their core, the group remains the same. The band released their seventh album in January, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, sought to bring the energy of their more raucous live performances back to the studio, and the result of the effort is a more balanced record on the whole.
