Singer and songwriter Justin Townes Earle has quite the musical pedigree, being the son of Steve Earle. That being said, he’s made more than enough strides to make it a very safe distance from his father’s shadow. Earle is a pioneer of Americana and folk music today, and the things he does frequently make waves in throughout the genre. His music is very personal in nature, and retains themes from darker periods in his life, such as his drug addiction. Justin Townes Earle has released 4 albums throughout his career, his most recent, Harlem River Blues, earning him an Americana Music Award. Justin Townes Earle was part of KUT’s SXSW lineup this at the Four Seasons and you can listen to his live set HERE!
