Jamaican musician Jimmy Cliff has been recording and performing music professionally for fifty years now, an incredibly lengthy career by any standards, but especially impressive given the fact that those 50 years started when Cliff was just 14 years old. One of the world’s most accomplished reggae musicians, Jimmy Cliff has been instrumental in bringing the genre to heights never thought reachable before. He’s been recognized by the Jamaican government and given the Order of Merit, the highest honor they bestow for achievement in the arts and sciences.
