Beware of Fake SXSW Music Wristbands

As the music portion of South by Southwest kicks off, police are reminding festivalgoers to watch out for fake wristbands.

Austin police advise music lovers to only purchase all-access wristbands from official SXSW outlets, such as the Austin Convention Center kiosk or booths or the official SXSW website.

Several wristbands were apparently stolen from the convention center kiosk yesterday; the Austin Police Department says those are being deactivated.
