Austin bolero group Trio Los Vigilantes aims to bring back the time when boleros were popular, or at least something more heard of. That being said, Trio Los Vigilantes doesn’t just rehash old bolero staples, they’re committed to bringing their own, fresh sound to the staggering genre. It’s safe to say that they’re succeeding in both arenas: making boleros relevant once more and adding a 21st century take on them at the same time. Trio Los Vigilantes will be accompanied by a string quartet for a very special Valentine’s Day performance on Tuesday night at the Mexican American Cultural Center. You can also hear their live performance from Studio 1a. Lisen HERE!
