The StoryCorps mobile booth was in Austin recently collecting stories from your fellow central Texans. The Airstream has now left town, but we’ll continue airing the stories recorded there every Monday and Wednesday morning here on KUT and archiving them here.

Nora Miranda of Cedar Creek was born in 1960 and was raised not by her parents but by her grandfather (whom she called Popo) and her aunts and uncles. She recently sat down with her son Bernardino in the StoryCorps mobile booth and shared some memories of growing up with her grandfather.
