At the intersection of pop, rock and classical music, stands Austin band Mother Falcon. It’s a careful balancing act, but the group strikes it quite well with their approach to modern music but classical instrumentation. The band has a rotating cast of more than 20 members, of which anywhere from 10 to all of them could be playing at any given Mother Falcon show. Their first full album, Alhambra, will be released nationally on February 21st. To honor the occasion, Mother Falcon will be playing a release show at the Scottish Rite Theater on Saturday the 25th. Hear them play live for John Aielli on KUT RIGHT HERE.
