The StoryCorps mobile booth was in Austin recently collecting stories from your fellow central Texans. The Airstream has now left town, but we’ll continue airing the stories recorded there every Monday and Wednesday morning here on KUT and archiving them here.

Margaret Zynda recently sat down in the booth with one of her four children, Nancy Watson. Nancy says that her mother is “the youngest 84-year-old I know.” The two talked a lot about Margaret’s life, including her memories of being a wife and mother in mid-century America.
