Oh, man! Mardi Gras weekend, people! Coming on strong, right away! Are you guys all ready for a big Mardi Gras themed podcast to get you in the spirit? If you are, you better start looking around on the interwebs for one, ’cause you’re not gonna find it here! We didn’t even realize Mardi Gras was coming up when we started putting this bad boy together. Sorry. Feel free to go ahead and eat some king cake while you’re listening to this thing, though. That stuff’s delicious!
So what do we have for you? A handful of great radio pieces, that’s all. We’ll start off with Pride of the Lady Cubs, a great story of how one really unlikely guy became the coach of the first women’s basketball team at L.A. City College. Good stuff from O’Dark regular Eric Winick.
Another O’Dark regular, Emily Corwin, is up next with Do You Want It by Brentton Harrison, an episode of her new Youthcast podcast. So one of her podcasts is now a part of one of our podcasts. We’re through the looking glass here, people!
Bringing it all home today is yet a third O’Dark buddy, Jake Warga. We’ve got Jake’s piece Dance That Brings The Dead To The Living, a great piece that’s sort-of Christmas themed, which makes it several months late or even more months early, but we don’t really care what the calendar says.
