As part of Ballet Austin’s ongoing Light/The Holocaust and Humanity Project, Chaddick Dance Theater will this week present “Dark to Light,” a contemporary ballet in four parts. Choreographer Cheryl Chaddick says “Dark to Light” grew out of her own lifelong spiritual journey.

The four parts of the performance “The Hands of Man before the Hands of God,” a group performance featuring dancers from Southern Methodist University; “Scatterings of Light,” inspired by Chaddick’s own search for spiritual meaning; “Driftwood,” a duet  featuring Maia McCoy and Katherine Hodges; and “He Said, She Said,” a “conversation between the sexes” featuring Chaddick’s choreography and the music by John Michael Hunt.
