Even in the more recent years of his career, local favorite Ben Kweller has had some trouble shaking the “wunderkind” label. And for good reason: his talent led to an impressively quick and early rise to popularity, and that popularity has refused to fade away. Of course, his ascension to his current status isn’t the only thing that’s impressive. Kweller plays a specific blend of indie rock, folk and country that makes his music very unique. He’s released 5 solo albums and a smattering of other compilations, with his 6th solo, Go Fly a Kite, due out on Tuesday. On Friday the 10th, Ben Kweller will play a show at Beauty Ballroom, here he is in Studio 1a. Enjoy!
