A happy Tuesday to you all. We’re gonna cast a nice little pod your way today, as you might expect. I mean, why else would you even be here, reading this poorly-constructed paragraph? No reason at all for either of us to waste our time if there’s no pod being cast, right? Right.
So, what’s on the cast? I’m glad I asked. We’ve got a new installment of Clever Apes, a cool little science-y (science-ish?) show that’s become a favorite here on O’Dark. This one is the “First Memories” episode, and it’s pretty interesting stuff.
Then we’ve got producer Eric Winick’s How Are You Who You Are? We’ve aired this fascinating piece before, but if you haven’t heard it, you really should take a listen. It’s the story of Douglas Nadeau of Marblehead, Massachusetts, a neighbor of Winick’s in his younger days; it’s also about his wife Lynn Nadeau and her love and compassion for her husband. It’s a surprising and touching piece that you really should hear.
To finish things up, we’ll bring you another installment of Richard Zigler’s Gulf Watch series. Zigler’s been chronicling the ongoing affects of the BP oil spill, and today we’ll bring you “An Oystering Community Contemplates Life Without Oysters.”
