O Dark 30

If it’s Tuesday, and reliable sources tell us that it is, it’s time for the Tuesday podcast. We’ve got three little tidbits of independent radio for you and/or your ears today, so why wait? Let’s get to it!

First off, it’s Dam Radio Story, which sounds very much like what KUT management calls O’Dark 30. But this story is actually about a dam, believe it or not. It’s a pretty cool, kind-of-meta piece from the fine folks at SaltCast.

Then we’ve got a visit from O’Dark regular Hans Anderson. Hans is a dude from Corpus Christi whose audio work includes documentary pieces, original comedy, radio fiction, and personal remembrances. This one falls into the latter category; it’s called Andy and Dirk, and it’s a story about two of Anderson’s high school classmates.

And we’ve got one more for you, too! It’s another installment of Richard Ziglar’s great Gulfwatch series. We’ve brought you a few of these, and there’s still more to come. This latest installment in this series on the ongoing effects of the BP oil spill is Pointe Au Chien Indiens…
