If you’re like me, then when you read the headline of this post you thought that the Tedeschi Trucks Band is the latest publicity move from the Tedeschi Trucks company. Turns out that isn’t the case. Named for the founders and main creative forces behind the band, husband and wife Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, the Tedeschi Trucks Band is an 11-piece band that plays a blend of blues, soul, rock and funk. The band’s first album, Revelator, was named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 best albums of 2011. Tedeschi Trucks Band will be playing tonight at ACL Live at the Moody Theatre, and this afternoon they they stopped by KUT to play in Studio 1a. Listen to their live performance HERE!
