Romney Projected N.H. Winner, Paul Second

January 10, 2012 7:40 pm by: KUT Staff

Most of the major news organizations have made the call: former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is projected to roll to an easy victory in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, picking up all 12 of the state’s delegates to this summer’s GOP convention.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul, propelled by a strong showing in Iowa last week, is projected to finish second, ahead of former Utah governor Jon Huntsman. Texas Governor Rick Perry has garnered about one percent of the early voting results in a state where he hasn’t really campaigned.

KUT News and NPR will have reports and analysis of tonight’s results from New Hampshire and a look ahead to the South Carolina GOP primary on January 21. Coverage runs from 8-10pm on KUT 90.5 and online at KUT.org.
