Raul Jaurena is an internationally regarded master of the Tango. Raised in Uruguay and now a resident of New York, Jaurena uses both of these places to influence his music, which as a result is a blend of classical Tango and “Tango Nuevo.” A virtuoso on the bandoneon, the traditional accordion/concertina used for Tango music, Jaurena has also composed a great number of his own Tango pieces. On Friday and Saturday, Raul Jaurena will be performing at Austin Music Hall with Michelle Schumann in a program called Two to Tango. Listen to him live in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!
