Some polls leading up to today’s GOP primary in New Hampshire show Texas Congressman Ron Paul is in 2nd place, trailing only Mitt Romney. Thanh Tan, of our political reporting partner The Texas Tribune, is in New Hampshire covering Congressman Paul’s presidential campaign. She says while he’s not poised for a first-place finish, his campaign is still expecting to keep up the momentum.

“He is a rock star here in New Hampshire, at least from what I’ve noticed. I’ve been to about five public events with him. They’ve all been packed. Hundreds came out to a town hall that they had on Sunday afternoon. He went to the countryside on Monday. An event that was supposed to be a home schooling meet-up, neighborhood meet-up for about maybe forty people. They ended up having to move it to the community barn, so well over one hundred people were there,” said Tan.

Tan said Paul’s messages of limited government and personal liberty are really resonating with New Hampshire voters. You can listen to her entire interview with KUT by clicking the audio player above.
