Rick Perry’s announcement to stay in the Republican presidential race caught many people off guard this morning–including some of his staffers. The annoucement, via Twitter, came about the same time that rival Michelle Bachmann announced she would suspend her campaign for the GOP nomination.

KUT hosted a Tele-Town Hall meeting this afternoon on the Perry candidacy. It was moderated by KUT’s Nathan Bernier and featured KUT political reporter Ben Philpott and NPR national political correspondent Don Gonyea, talking about Governor Perry’s announcement to first reconsider his candidacy last night, and his subsequent announcement this morning to press on to primaries in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Sorry but the selection of Perry to represent the GOP against President Obama would be the absolute BEST for the President & the Democrats…Perry is a joke, a horrible governor who definitely has messed up education, the environment and most of all the people of Texas.
And I’m quite tired of KUT via Ben Philpott attempting to whitewash/make excuses for Perry….Time for KUT to act like a nonpartisan news organization interested in Journalism, ie TRUTH SEEKING!!!!!!!!!!!!
