Keith Neisler Named KUT 90.5 Program Director
AUSTIN, Texas — Jan. 12, 2012 — Keith Neisler has been named program director of KUT 90.5 where he will focus on the day-to-day delivery of KUT’s program services on the air.
As program director, Neisler will oversee KUT’s news, information and music programming to ensure its continued high quality. He also will play a key role in the sound of the station’s on-air fund drives and work with program producers to deliver KUT content across multiple platforms in support of KUT’s public service mission.
Prior to joining KUT, he spent four years as station manager of KIOS 91.5 in Omaha, Nebraska, where he launched a local news department and spearheaded the creation of the station’s online presence; and two years as the assistant general manager and chief content officer of WEKU 88.9 in Kentucky. Most recently he was program director at KMFA 89.5 in Austin. He has also served on the NPR Station Advocacy Advisory Group.
“We’re really pleased that Keith has made his way to KUT and back home to Texas,” said Stewart Vanderwilt, director and general manager of KUT 90.5. “As a professional and a fan of KUT, we believe he has a good ear for what makes KUT authentic and a commitment to ensure that we are continually improving our craft.”
