Austin based singer and songwriter Bill Carter can’t be mentioned without mentioning his wife and songwriting partner Ruth Ellsworth. Together, they’ve been writing music for more than 30 years. With songs of theirs recorded by artists ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Counting Crows to the Fabulous Thunderbirds, their songwriting prowess is a force to be reckoned with. Recently, Carter recorded an album with fellow Austin musicians Stephen Doster and Will Sexton, calling it CarterDosterSexton, of course. Bill Carter stopped by Studio 1a to play live on KUT. Enjoy!
