One Week Until the Iowa Caucuses

There’s just one week to go until the Iowa Republican presidential caucuses. An average of recent polls shows Texas Congressman Ron Paul leading the field of GOP candidates in Iowa. Governor Rick Perry comes in at fourth place. Perry will continue trying to win over voters, as he resumes his bus tour of Iowa this week.

Finding New Life for Dead Trees

Dead trees are piling up by the millions across Texas. The drought has killed them but all is not lost as Dave Fehling reports from Houston for StateImpact Texas.

Crazy Ants Confirmed in Travis County

Entomologists say they’ve confirmed the presence of an invasive species of ants, called Crazy Ants, in Travis County. As KUT’s Matt Largey reports, the bugs have become a serious nuisance ever since they came to Texas a few years ago.
