What We’re Watching: Brain Pickings

Brain Pickings is a really wonderful spot on the web that describes itself as a “LEGO treasure chest, full of pieces across art, design, science, technology, philosophy, history, politics, psychology, sociology, ecology, anthropology, you-name-itology”. It’s a great place to wander through when you’re looking for inspiration for that next great idea of yours. In addition, they are a non-profit supported in part by users (remind you of anyone?), so what’s not to love!

There’s a dandy piece there right now on Salvador Dali and his 1969 illustrations for Alice In Wonderland, so be sure to check that out, but we want to make sure to bring to your attention the sweet little video we’re featuring this week in What We’re Watching.

Holstee is an online product and gift shop that approaches design with a social conscience and a couple of years ago they published The Holstee Manifesto which quickly became an internet sensation and is now a best-selling poster. The folks at Brain Pickings let us know that Holstee recently took the manifesto and coupled it with cycling to create a short film that is both inspiring and beautiful. Enjoy it! It’s What We’re Watching.
