After several years at Penn Field, Austin Playhouse is preparing to move to a new home in the Meuller development. Until that happens, though, they’re between permanent homes and performing out of a temporary space that’s something like a giant tent. That actually turns out to be a great setting for The Lion in Winter, the classic play set in medieval England.

Babs George and Huck Huckaby head up a cast of seven as Eleanor of Aquitane and King Henry II, and both are enjoying putting their own stamp on these famous and larger-than-life personalities. The cast also includes Brock England, Ben Wolfe, Jason Newman, Kimberly Barrow, and Dan Kerrigan; it’s directed by Austin Playhouse artistic director Don Toner.
