Texas duo Sons of Fathers has a name that actually says a lot about them as a band. The two of them, David Beck and Paul Cauthen, are a relatively young pair that plays music their fathers could’ve played: timelessly written country folk. In the short time they’ve been playing music together the band has become known for its flawless vocal harmonies and just great songwriting in general. Over the next couple weeks, Sons of Fathers has a ton of shows in the Austin area, including a show at the historic Gruene Hall in Gruene, TX on Wednesday, and a CD release show at Scoot Inn on Saturday.
