Black Friday Babysitters in High Demand

Many Central Texans woke up before the crack of dawn today to take advantage of Black Friday sales. Sites such as Sittercity.com saw an increase in posts this year by babysitters willing to work early bird hours to make some extra cash this holiday season- while giving parents time to shop without the children.

Post Office Cuts Impacting Rural Texas Towns

Last week, the U.S. Postal Service announced that it was more than $10.5 billion in the red. The Postal Service has already begun downsizing by closing offices and reducing work hours. On today’s Newspod we look at how those cuts are affecting rural towns in Texas.

APD: Watch Out for Auto Burglars

The Austin Police Department reports a vehicle is burglarized in Texas every two and a half minutes. APD says these auto theft crimes tend to escalate during the holiday season.
