Wow, that’s a lot of elevens in today’s date. Looking at that heading now, I kind of feel like we should’ve produced a podcast that has something, anything, to do with today’s once-in-a-century date. We didn’t do that, of course, but if you’d like to help us out, please feel free to listen to this podcast eleven times. Then there’s some kind of theme going on.
Here’s what we’ve got for you today: an episode of Clever Apes called “Godspeed: Tevatron,” which is an elegy of sorts to that late, great machine. You might be saying to yourself, “Big deal. What’s so cool about the Tevatron?” Well, it only smashed together protons and antimatter. What have you done lately that’s so much cooler?
We’ve also got a brand-new episode of The Mikie Show, everyone’s favorite source of Mikie-related infotainment. In this edition, Mikie will visit with dancer and choreographer Rebecca Davis and also do some other, odder things.
Then we’ll wrap it all up with the “Rusty Nail” edition of Angus Stocking’s Belief Systems and Other B.S. In “Rusty Nail,” Angus will explore the phenomenon of seeing things that aren’t really there. Pretty fascinating stuff.
