What We’re Watching: The demise of guys?

One of the really great spots on the web is TED where they say “ideas worth spreading.” It’s hard to disagree with that statement. Recently Philip Zimbardo, an internationally recognized scholar, educator, researcher and media personality, asked, “Why are boys struggling?” The host of the popular PBS-TV series, Discovering Psychology, shared some stats like lower graduation rates, greater worries about intimacy and relationships, and lots and lots of video game playing to suggest a few reasons for the problem. At the end of this short TED talk, Zimbardo says, “So what’s the solution? It’s not my job. I’m here to alarm. It’s your job to solve.” With those words he set off one of the really great discussions of the last few years on TED. See why when you take a look at What We’re Watching.
