What We’re Watching: Cuttlefish Camouflage

With Halloween just around the corner we started thinking about costumes and how to do something completely different this year. We thought about going as the state of Idaho or maybe even a Car-to-Go, but then we had an A-Ha!! moment…Shape-shifters and decided to try that out.

Unfortunately it turns out that the cuttlefish had beaten us to the punch in this department by about 50 million years. Check out this incredible video about the unique morphing skills of cuttlefish that NPR’s Robert Krulwich writes about in his blog Krulwich Wonders.
