Gov. Rick Perry took a few hits in the Republican presidential debate this week. KUT News’ Emily Donahue and Gardner Selby of PolitiFact Texas and the Austin American-Statesman fact-check the claims and counterclaims.

It’s also been repeated for years that Perry was a Texas leader of Gore’s campaign. We repeated that too, until we revisited Perry’s actual role this year and found no evidence — not a pinch — of Perry holding such a leadership role.
