Philadelphia band The War on Drugs draws from all over the rock spectrum to create a sound that is uniquely theirs. Frontman Adam Granduciel has been compared to musicians such as Bob Dylan or Tom Petty in terms of vocals, but the band draws on more ambient rock for their instrumentation. The War on Drugs recently released their second full length album, Slave Ambient, to a massive critical response, and they’re playing a show on Tuesday at Emo’s. You can learn more about The War on Drugs and hear them play live when they drop by Studio 1a on Tuesday at 9:30 pm.
