Governor Rick Perry will take the stage with his GOP presidential rivals for a debate in Las Vegas tonight.

Political watchers are waiting to see if Perry will use this debate to try to make a comeback. He’s had poor debate performances, sagging poll numbers and is losing some support to businessman Herman Cain.

Last week, Perry unveiled his domestic energy plan. He’s expected to unveil part two of his economic plan soon. We could get a preview of that during the Vegas debate.

You can hear more set up for the debate from KUT’s political reporter Ben Philpott by clicking the audio player above.
